How We Built Jamie a Gaming PC for Warzone, Elden Ring, and Streaming

Every gaming PC build starts with a conversation. When Jamie got in touch from Leeds, he had three games in mind: Call of Duty: Warzone, Elden Ring, and eventually Twitch streaming. His budget was around £1,500, and he was worried about spending big without knowing what he would actually get.

Here is exactly what we built, why we built it that way, and what Jamie said after six months of daily use.

What Jamie Needed

Jamie was upgrading from a 2018 laptop that struggled with anything demanding. He wanted to:

  • Run Warzone at 144fps+ on competitive settings
  • Play Elden Ring at max settings, 1080p
  • Have enough headroom to start streaming without dropped frames
  • Future-proof the build for 3 to 4 years

He was not a tech expert. The world of AM5 vs LGA1851, DDR5, and PCIe 5.0 was completely unfamiliar territory. That is exactly the type of customer we love working with.

The Build We Recommended

After a conversation about his use case and budget, we settled on a build centred around the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and the NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.

  • Ryzen 7 9700X (AM5): Eight cores, efficient power draw, and AMD's latest AM5 platform — which means the motherboard socket supports future CPU upgrades. No dead-end platform.
  • RTX 5060 Ti 16GB: The 16GB VRAM version rather than 8GB was the right call. At 1440p — which Jamie planned to move to — 16GB handles modern titles without pressure and future-proofs the build considerably.
  • 16GB DDR5: The sweet spot for gaming. Handles Warzone, OBS streaming software, and Discord simultaneously without memory pressure.
  • 2TB NVMe SSD: Fits Windows, Warzone (~100GB), Elden Ring, and several other games with room to spare.
  • 240mm Liquid Cooler: Quieter than the stock cooler and keeps temperatures stable during long sessions.

All components were brand-new and the build included Windows 11 Home 64-bit. Every PC we send out is rigorously tested before dispatch — Jamie's machine ran a full benchmark suite before it left our workshop.

The Result

Jamie's PC was dispatched within 5 working days. He wrote back to us a few weeks later:

"Honestly didn't know what to expect — it was my first time buying a custom PC. Warzone runs perfectly, Elden Ring looks incredible, and I've actually started streaming. No lag, no issues. The 3-year warranty was a big factor in going with you guys — felt like a safety net that made the spend feel a lot less risky."

Name changed for privacy.

Six months later, Jamie upgraded to a 1440p 165Hz monitor. The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB handles it without issue.

Why a 3-Year Warranty Matters on a £1,500+ Purchase

Jamie mentioned the peace of mind from our 3-year warranty multiple times. Every gaming PC we build is covered for 3 full years from purchase. If there is a hardware fault, we arrange and pay for courier collection and return — you do not pay a penny to get it fixed.

That level of coverage is not something you find from most eBay sellers or large retailers. It is one of the reasons buying a custom PC from us should feel safe, not stressful.
