How We Compare to US Gaming PC Brands

US customers often compare us to domestic brands like iBUYPOWER, CyberPowerPC, Origin PC, NZXT, and Maingear. Here's how we stack up on the things that matter most:

We Build The Perfect PC iBUYPOWER / CyberPowerPC Origin PC / Maingear
Warranty 3 years 1 year 1–3 years (varies)
Build process Hand-built, one at a time Production line Hand-built
Stress tested before dispatch Yes, every build Varies Yes
All-inclusive pricing (no customs bill) Yes N/A (domestic) N/A (domestic)
Family-owned, personal service Yes No No

The 3-year warranty is particularly notable — most US pre-built brands cover you for just one year. Our warranty covers hardware defects with return shipping arranged and paid by us for verified faults.

Power Compatibility

The US uses 120V / 60Hz mains power; the UK uses 230V / 50Hz. All PSUs we use are rated 100–240V universal input — your PC will work on US power without a voltage converter. We include a US-compatible C13 power cable with every order shipped to the United States. A simple plug adapter is all you need if you wish to use a different cable.

3-Year Warranty — How It Works for US Customers

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in all components for 3 years from the date of purchase. If something develops a hardware fault within the warranty period:

  • Contact us by email — we respond to all US warranty enquiries within one business day
  • We will diagnose the fault remotely where possible (most issues can be identified via photos or video)
  • For confirmed hardware defects, we will either ship a replacement component to your US address or arrange a full refund, depending on the nature of the fault
  • Warranty is non-transferable and covers the original purchaser only
  • Accidental damage, unauthorised modifications, and overclocking are not covered

Why Are UK-Built Gaming PCs Popular in the USA?

The US custom PC market is dominated by a handful of large brands. What UK builders like us offer is different: genuine hand-assembly, a longer warranty, and the kind of personal service that disappears when a company scales to thousands of builds per week. We know every PC we ship by name — it was built by one person, tested by one person, and packed by one person.

For US buyers, importing from the UK also means access to UK component pricing, which is often competitive against US retail once import costs are factored in — particularly on high-end GPU and CPU configurations where US retail margins can be significant.

We have shipped gaming PCs to customers across California, Texas, New York, Florida, Washington, and dozens of other states. The process is identical every time: build, test, pack, ship — door to door with full tracking and all customs cleared before the box leaves our workshop.

What to Expect When You Order

We want every US customer to know exactly what happens after they place an order. Here is the full timeline:

  1. Order confirmation: You receive an email immediately after checkout confirming your order and the components selected.
  2. Build begins: Your PC enters our build queue. Each PC is assembled individually — no production-line shortcuts.
  3. Stress testing: Once assembled, your PC runs a full stress-test suite: Prime95 for CPU stability, FurMark for GPU thermal performance, and a full Windows 11 boot and software check. This typically takes 4–6 hours of continuous testing.
  4. Packaging: Your PC is packed in a purpose-built double-walled box with foam GPU bracket support. Cable ties are used internally to prevent movement during freight.
  5. Dispatch and tracking: You receive a tracking number by email. Your PC ships from our UK workshop to your US address via DHL, FedEx, or UPS international express.
  6. Delivery: The courier delivers to your door. No customs payment required — everything is cleared before the box leaves the UK.

If you have any questions at any stage, email us directly at info@webuildtheperfectpcforyoultd.co.uk. We reply to all US enquiries within one working day (UK business hours, Monday–Friday).
